As the boat slowly made its way down the river, I couldn't help but be in awe of the fortress looming in the distance. The towering stone walls rose high above the trees, seemingly impenetrable and foreboding. Turrets and battlements jutted out at intervals, and I could just make out the glint of armor on the soldiers standing guard. The fortress seemed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, as if it had always been a part of the landscape. I couldn't imagine what kind of secrets and treasures were hidden within those walls, but I knew that I wanted to find out.
