The underground futuristic city of Xal was built centuries ago by a proud race of people with a knack for engineering and innovation. In the city, advanced technologies and innovative ideas flourished and soon grew to be held in high regard throughout the entire kingdom. The inhabitants were known to blend nature with their own creations to create beautiful outdoor areas in their subterranean home as well. Through these innovations, the people had managed to build a prosperous electrical grid that allowed for advances in lighting, climate control, and even energy production from renewable sources - something many cities have only just begun achieving recently. To this day, it remains an impressive specimen of what can be achieved when human ingenuity gets married with technological possibilities.
