Prompt

A painterly yet realistic portrait of a group of ochre sea stars, Pisaster ochraceus, spanning a palette of realistic tones of orange, purple and reddish purple. The realistic sea stars must NOT be portrayed as geometric stars, NOR with their arms splayed out in five fold symmetry. INSTEAD, show the sea stars with pairs of arms pressed together, with arms tightly curved to the side, and with arms with curled tips, using the attached reference images as a guide. ALSO, show several sea stars in a group, each with a different colors from the reference palette of ochre orange, reddish purple and purple, as shown in the reference images. OVERALL, the sea stars are all tightly pressed together, with some overlapping and smaller sea stars filling the space between larger ones. The texture and sheen of the of the sea stars is wet and complex with a nonuniform lacework of light colored or off white dots. The group of sea stars covers a vertical rock face at low tide with some of the sea stars and parts of the larger ones immersed in a tide pool. At the top of the frame is a horizontal band of mussels, the favorite prey species of the sea stars.

A vibrant still-life oil painting by Mary Dolores White features a cluster of colorful sea stars, also known as starfish, in a tidal pool setting. The composition is vertical, with the sea stars appearing to cascade down a rocky face into shallow water below.

At the top of the image, a row of approximately 14 polished black mussels with glistening interiors rests horizontally on a ledge. Some are open slightly, revealing their pearlescent surfaces.

Directly below the mussels, the rocky texture of a cliff face or large rocks is visible, varying in shades of gray, tan, and light brown. Numerous small white barnacles are scattered across these surfaces. The rocks show cracks and crevices, and some areas are wet and reflective, suggesting the presence of water or dampness.

The main subject is a dense group of sea stars in various sizes and colors. The predominant colors are bright orange, deep reddish-purple, and vibrant purple. Most of the sea stars have five arms, with some curled or slightly twisted. Their surfaces are depicted with textured details, showing numerous small white, light-colored, or darker nodules, giving them a realistic, bumpy appearance.

Starting from the top center, a large orange sea star dominates, its
