I could also have called it ”The Secret of the Particular Circumstances” : A striking post-apocalyptic scene depicting four women in an overgrown, dilapidated railway station greenhouse. The central figure, a woman with long, bright red hair already slightly entwined with ivy, is wearing a black coat and holding an intricately crafted, weathered brass timepiece in her hand. Behind her stands a dilapidated railway carriage, heavily overgrown with ivy. To her right stands another woman with dark, short hair, also in a black coat, next to a large sign bearing the inscription ‘DEPARTURES OF SHADOWS’, on which ‘TIME-SCALES’, ‘METAPHYSICAL DESTINATIONS’ and ‘FINAL DISPOSITION’ are listed.
