The thing I love about this program is that I liked every result as it came along. But I wanted a painting of an old gnarled, beaten down tree still going strong in spite of everything, so I kept evolving till I got what I'd been aiming for. I switched between Stable v2 and artistic and back again at the end. However, if you read this, and you look at each step in the evolution, I hope you'll let me know which version you prefer. Each is so different! I do love trees as a subject.

The base image is one of my botched style transfers. I found it in a file I was clearing and I liked the colors, so I thought I'd try it as a base to work from. The beginning prompt originated with dreamer Charlie 145.
