More about Adventurer Mollie and The Place of Stories Yet to Be Written

Chapter 5
The bus stopped without warning. No sign, no stop button, no sound. Just the feeling that something had to happen—right now. Mollie stepped out into a twilight that was neither day nor night. The air was filled with quiet voices, but no one spoke. Before him rose a city built of words. Its walls were made of sentences, its roofs of questions. Windows flickered like pages in a book turning itself in the wind. A sign hung diagonally above the paper archway: "Here live the stories yet to be written." Mollie stepped inside. Beneath his paws, the ground rustled like old parchment. Every alley was a chapter, every door a beginning, every lamppost bore a word. The houses whispered. Not loudly, but insistently—as if they wanted to tell what they were never allowed to tell. A small square opened before him. In the middle: an empty chair and a table. On it lay a quill pen. No ink, no paper. Just a hint of possibility. A figure approached—woven of light, born of intuition. It wore no eyes, only a warm smile. "Only those ready to write something they don't yet understand come here." Mollie wanted to object. But then he sensed: There was something new in his backpack. Something that hadn't been there before. A book—empty, except for a single line on the first page: "You are not the first, but perhaps the first to remain." He took the pen. He didn't yet know what to write. Only that it was time to begin. And as he made the first stroke, the whole place vibrated. Doors opened. Stories began to breathe. Not loudly. But irrevocably.
