Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone.-
Why does God call us to be thankful?
God wants it.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). The Lord wants to be thanked for His providence and sovereignty. Jesus wants to be thanked for taking our sin and making us clean. The Spirit wants to be thanked for His guidance and comfort.
And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.
Feeding the multitude comprises two separate miracles of Jesus, reported in the Gospels, in which Jesus used modest resources to feed thousands of followers.
