Note the butterfly, which looks like a Monarch Butterfly but is a different species altogether.
Most biologists on Verdantis agree that this is a coincidence arising from parallel evolution.
However, a few scientists believe that one or more alien races terraformed Verdantis long ago, seeding the planet with species collected from across the Milky Way and modified to fit the planet's environments. If true, this would make the butterfly pictured a long lost cousin to the Monarch.
