My Favorite Day, there is no poetry that could compare.

A tribute to family in a craft of love, growing together never easy when a world moves oh so fast.

Nights come and go, a count down. I find my world is changing as never before. I know I must savor these moments. This place will be a footnote. Love and wisdom meet, I must be reminded, everything I have will someday be gone.

You and I both have grown in knowing, this is the way of life. May our futures bring light, recognizing the bitter sweet. Time will come when the old makes way for the freshly known.

I have had my trials, losses, reckonings. Heartbreak has found me, I am not without scars.

Wisdom has found me. This is why I may grow in skill yet make great efforts to keep wisdom in simplicity. I know the greatness in simple truths, a steady growing love my vow I make to you.

I know the value of life, lost several close friends. I know the value in grounding myself, the truth of love.

Dear, nothing is forever. Impermanence that's what makes a life worth living. Who wants to live forever? We all must one day shut our eyes one final time, walking our road home.

Who you walk it with is what makes the difference, who share it with. Who holds your hand when the night grows cold. Who will be there when you grow old.

I know many may think my life was stunted in a way. While I have been stifled, I can tell you in truth I returned to myself. I found the path to my inner youth.

I knew I must honor my original intent. To find my truth, and my purpose. I needed to understand deep down why I am here.

Struggles were everywhere, many ridiculed. I was deemed sad at first, that others found to be a joke. I gave up on myself even. I got harder just in the nick of time.

In truth The Best Day saved my life. I never knew such sincerity existed, a master work, a humble gift. My inner light was not extinguished when I found it that night. Ashes I was, but I knew I was given a precious gift, renewal, great insight, my inner light.

So I will not rush in to something that I know must be tended with great care. I also know I will not walk away from myself or the greatest thing I have ever known.

True love either is or is not. It cannot be borrowed, bought, sold, nor forgot.

PS. Hardships are not easy, everyone has a choice to either fight for light, or allow a cold night. Sometimes pain is needed for growth. I find everyone has a steady burden, the real question is how you meet it? Whom do you meet it with?
