The P70 was a passenger car produced in the former DeutscheDemocratic Republic (DDR) in the 1950s. It is considered a predecessor to the Trabant and was built at the Zwickau Automobilwerk (AWZ). The "P" in the P70 name referred to the passenger car and the "70" to the 700 cc engine, although the actual displacement was 690 cc. The P70 was produced until 1959, gradually giving way to the Trabant.
This car didn't set any speed records... :)
