There are these days,
When I step out with good cheer,
Positive and full of hope,
Chasing dreams that feel so near.

But by night, I pay the toll
For all the life around,
And then I come to realize
That in solitude, I’m bound.

I look into the mirror,
And see a desperate plea,
For a future that might replace
The past that’s haunting me.

Solitude is my friend,
She asks for nothing in return,
Yet I wonder, in the end,
When will I watch her burn?
