ArtistA woman with dark hair look around at twinkling lights that move in the air that gather in front of her with faintly glowing spheres on the floor and form a semi transparent Asian female in front her with an amused expression on her face. A second man with a fez appear in the shop window, holograms showing various dishes of food change position and appearance around their heads.
Even though the prompt state that Pilar is supposed to be watching the sphere's gather into Tudi with curiosity, the AI treated her as one piece of furniture. Which is sad as the rest turned out rather good.
Now what is going on with the two here? Especially considering the fact that this is a hard scifi story, meaning things are supposed to be believable.
Well when writing the story I inserted Pilar's failed attempt of transformation that nearly killed her to show that Marvel style hero tranformation is impossible in the real world. Even when you got access to "nanobots" - which would not work in the real world either - so I had to add the concept of 'alien technology' and even then the fast transformation cause so much heat that Pilar have to jump into a bathtub with cold water not to perish from super fever - and the transformation end up only partial.
So this sub-arch in my story is to be considered apocryphal anyway. Just as much as there's spaceships flying at low altitude among buildings as seen in that previous clip I posted, the authorities do not allow their population to be exposed to several rems each day. In short, the spaceships are in fact never allowed to ever land on the planet, which would be a waste of reaction mass anyway, if a ship is 'hot' it's not even allowed near the space station. Crews have to ferry over there instead. We do in fact not see any spaceship until Pilar get a mission to help space colonists boost their food production, and then it will be where she use a student built Sänger / Silbervogel to reach orbit and then one refurbished space tug for her trip to the space colony. This since I had to go 'retro' as I cannot imagine, even less get the AI's to show the magical soapbubble ships inside artificial magnetospheres these guys actually got. [Yes they're not just a few but thousands of years ahead of us in material science.]
