Giving it to the parish priest, he told him that he was seriously ill (probably paralyzed), lay in bed for weeks, felt terrible himself, and what's more, he didn't want to be a burden to his family, because the doctors' prognosis wasn't good. One night he prayed to God to take him from this world or restore him to health. And he fell asleep. He dreamed of Saint. Joseph. He said he would heal him, but asked Stobienia to paint a picture that would look like he described, and then give it to the collegiate church in Kalisz. Stobienia did it. He recovered and took the painting to Kalisz. His descendants still live in the village of Szulec. Of course, then St. Peter's Square Józefa did not exist yet, BUT the area that was to become it already existed.
