The enemy came, a ceaseless flood, Intent on fire, on ash, on blood. But with each strike and every spell, The heroes fought and darkness fell. "For kin, for land, for sacred trust, We fight," they roared, "we stand, we must!" For in their hearts, the flame burned true, The love of all they sought to do. And so it passed, the night grew still, The heroes' song had broke the will Of evil's march, its cruel intent, Back to the void, the darkness sent. The people rose to hail their brave, The Cosmic Defenders, strong and grave. In songs and tales, their deeds would ring, Of how they saved the cosmic spring.
