Sunbird at Rhododendron

• Model: ChatGPT 2

• Size: 2560 X 1440 (3.69 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: A mosaic made entirely of small pieces of stone, in the style of Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, in brilliant high-contrast glassy colors, of a large wild rhododendron bush in full bloom, on a fog-shrouded mountain slope in a misty cloud-forest. The flowers are clusters of vivid magenta-pink blossoms covering the upper and outer branches of the shrub. Each flower has the classic rhododendron form — five slightly ruffled petals fused into a funnel/bell shape, with darker pink spotting or freckling visible on the upper petal of some blooms. The leaves are elongated, leathery, waxy, and dark olive-green, typical of rhododendron species. The branches are dark, twisted, and woody, gnarled in the way of older rhododendron shrubs. On one of the branches perches a vividly colored male Mrs. Gould's Sunbird (Aethopyga gouldiae), with its bill probing one of the flowers. The rhododendron bush sits on the right in front of a steep wooded slope, with the hillside receding into a soft, dense fog. You can make out a lower layer of green underbrush and bamboo-like grasses in the foreground, and darker conifer or shrub silhouettes fading into the whiteout in the upper left. The moisture in the air is the kind from cloud cover typical of monsoon-season mountains — the leaves have a slightly wet sheen, and there's a general softness to the light, with no harsh shadows. There's a striking contrast between the vibrant, saturated pink of the flowers and the muted, cool gray-greens of the misty landscape.
