  • Prompt: Create a dark, whimsical old-master oil painting portrait of Behemoth the cat from Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita. A huge, overweight, anthropomorphic black cat sits upright like a lazy aristocrat on top of a tall antique dresser or cabinet. He is massive, glossy-furred, comical, menacing, and theatrical. His full body must be visible from ears to both feet, with no cropping. One leg hangs slightly down over the dresser edge, the other is bent and crossed over it in a relaxed human pose. His heavy belly, thick paws, and curling tail emphasize his absurd grandeur. He leans back against the cracked wall behind him with arrogant ease, as if completely comfortable in a human apartment. Behemoth has intelligent mischievous eyes, a sly ironic closed-mouth grin, and a knowing satirical expression, as if he is about to make an outrageous philosophical joke. His face should feel witty, dangerous, and absurdly charming. He wears a monocle over one eye with a thin chain catching the candlelight. In one furry paw, he holds a clearly recognizable vintage bronze Soviet primus stove: squat cylindrical brass body, burner ring, pressure cap, pump handle, small valves, warm metallic reflections, slightly worn and polished from use. It should not look like a lantern. In his other paw, he holds a lit cigar with faint elegant smoke rising upward. His front paws should be slightly hand-like so he can hold the objects naturally, but still furry, clawed, and unmistakably feline. The dresser is richly detailed: dark polished wood, ornate carved edges, brass handles, old drawers slightly open, small shadows inside the drawers, adding intrigue and narrative mystery. Place Behemoth high on the dresser so the viewer looks up at him slightly, making him feel powerful, absurd, and ominous. Background: a dim aristocratic Moscow interior or shadowy study, inspired by Bulgakov’s world. Include subtle literary chaos: old books, manuscript pages, spilled ink, playing cards, velvet drapery, candlelight, perhaps a faint theatrical poster or mysterious shadow in the background. Keep these details atmospheric and secondary, not cluttered. Painted in classical 18th–19th century European oil portrait style, reminiscent of Rembrandt and Baroque masters: dramatic chiaroscuro lighting, deep shadows, warm golden highlights, textured brushstrokes, visible canvas texture, subtle craquelure, aged varnish patina, museum-quality realism with surreal literary undertones. Lighting: warm candlelight from below and the side, soft highlights catching the black fur, whiskers, monocle rim, cigar smoke, and bronze primus stove. The room should be mostly dark, with golden light revealing Behemoth’s face, belly, paws, and the ornate dresser. Composition: vertical portrait, centered subject, full body visible, viewer positioned slightly below the cat’s eye line, gothic literary atmosphere, dark whimsical humor, surreal realism, highly detailed, old master oil painting, textured canvas, dramatic lighting. Negative prompt: cropped body, partial body, missing legs, missing feet, missing paws, open mouth, aggressive snarl, cute kitten, ordinary house cat, skinny cat, cartoon style, modern digital look, bright flat lighting, primus stove looking like a lantern, extra limbs, distorted paws, cluttered composition, text, watermark.
