  • Prompt: A half-length portrait of an adult Caucasian woman, painted with expressive brushwork, layered pigment, translucent washes, scraped textures and vivid passages of colour. Sharply observed details of her face emerge from semi-abstract surroundings. Her medium-length asymmetrical pixie cut forms large, dark-lilac curls. She wears a loose, unbuttoned checked shirt over a simple top. Give the curls and the folds of the fabric a strong three-dimensional presence. From the edge of the frame, a hand enters in the pose of God’s outstretched hand in Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam. Its extended fingertips touch the woman’s chest over her heart. Her heart is the source of a deep reddish light within her torso. The glow passes outward through her chest like a powerful backlight shining through living flesh, making the anatomically shaped heart and faint traces of the surrounding internal structure partially visible beneath the surface. Let the light diffuse unevenly through the tissue, with its brightest point at the heart and softer red tones fading into the surrounding skin and fabric. Keep the effect painterly and evocative, with no exposed organs or cutaway. A powerful directional golden-neon light strikes her face, curls and shirt, catching individual locks and raised folds while the opposite side falls into rich shadow. Keep this external golden light distinct from the red light emerging from her heart. Surround her with fluid marks, splashes of colour and layered, semi-abstract surfaces, while keeping her expression and the point of contact clear. The moment should feel intimate, miraculous and emotionally charged. Add a small calligraphic signature reading “Milo” in a lower corner.
