  • Prompt: Use the uploaded original pen-and-ink drawing as a strict, unchangeable structural blueprint. Preserve its exact portrait orientation, composition, viewpoint, cropping, proportions, recognizable faces and figures, silhouettes, curved and angular forms, overlaps, internal details, line directions, spatial relationships and intentional empty spaces. Do not redesign, simplify, add, remove, mirror or relocate anything. Transform the complete drawing into an extraordinarily intricate, museum-quality Japanese urushi lacquer panel combining three authentic techniques: gold-and-silver chinkin engraving, maki-e metallic-powder shading and a few restrained raden mother-of-pearl accents. Build it on a rigid wooden panel covered with many polished layers of deep black-brown urushi, showing subtle warm-brown, oxblood and smoky depths. Preserve large visible lacquer areas as the drawing's negative spaces. CHINKIN LINEWORK: Carve the strongest contours and structural lines into the hardened lacquer as precise incised grooves filled with warm antique-gold powder and minute gold-leaf particles. Use finer, cool-silver-filled incisions for secondary contours, facial features, fingers and delicate internal lines. Strong contours are slightly deeper and wider; the finest details remain hair-thin. Every groove follows the exact direction, curvature, length, spacing and rhythm of the original pen stroke. Gold and silver sit inside the incisions, never as raised metal wires. MAKI-E SHADING: Translate the original hatching and cross-hatching into metallic powder embedded in lacquer. Sparse pale hatching becomes widely spaced, mist-like silver-grey maki-e. Medium tonal areas use layered subdued gold, silver and smoky bronze. Dense dark passages combine dark bronze and muted silver while leaving the black lacquer visible. Use extremely fine dust for transitions and slightly larger flakes only for rare highlights. Preserve the original direction and density of all hatching. Never fill entire forms with uniform gold. RADEN ACCENTS: Use iridescent mother-of-pearl only in a few focal details: small portions of prominent eye-like forms, sharp tips, selected flowing strands and important line intersections. Slender irregular shell pieces are embedded flush in the lacquer and shift subtly through pearl-white, pale aqua, muted sea green, petrol blue and restrained violet. Raden occupies less than ten percent of the decorated surface and never replaces the gold-and-silver drawing. Maintain a disciplined hierarchy: deep black-brown lacquer dominates; antique gold defines the main structure; cool silver describes fine details; smoky bronze creates tonal depth; rare pearl-aqua raden flashes form accents. Show authentic mirror-deep yet subtly handmade urushi, minute grooves, crisp metal-powder deposits, delicate maki-e transitions, natural lacquer texture, finely cut shell edges and controlled reflections. Keep the panel physically flat with only microscopic relief. Present the finished vertical artwork on a neutral warm-grey museum wall, photographed nearly frontally from a very slight lower-left angle. Soft raking gallery light from the upper left reveals the engraving and metallic powders without glare. Extremely detailed, elegant, materially convincing and sharply focused. The source drawing must remain immediately recognizable.
