  • Prompt: Rays of light strike our faces, percolating through the artful perforations of a flat opaque surface. These perforations are spread across the entire surface that extends our compostion, as perforations get closer to the center, the diameters and intervals of the holes vary significantly, creating a flat simplified projection of Nefertiti's 3/4-view portrait. The main intriguing feature here is that the portrait is developed on a flat surface (without any volume formations) on that parental surface; hence, the perforated holes serve as the only means with limited resolution to depict the neck, cheeks, forehead, ear, and nose. However, the smaller face attributes are either heavily simplified or ignored entirely but remaining strictly flat. All perforation holes are either round or oval as if they were cutout by a precise cutter. As the light passes through the perforations, it creates a mesmerizing play of dispersing rays, as if there is a powerful emerald light source behind the dark blue perforated surface. The effect is subtly blinding, adding to the allure of the image.
