On the floor, in the center of the room, a blood-red pentagram. A circle of salt surrounds the pentagram. A blood-red candle burns at the center of the pentagram and five blood-red candles burn, one at each of the points of the pentagram. Laverno, an anthropomorphic male ant in a Roman-style tunic and senatorial toga. Laverno lies on the floor against the wall. A staff which glows in a mysterious rose gold color lies in front of him. The staff has a bloodstone inset at the top. Blake, an anthropomorphic british bulldog in a bottle green, Victorian-style suit. Blake holds a staff made of poplar wood with an amazonite gemstone inset at the top. Mel, an anthropomorphic otter in a traditional Swedish suit. Mel holds a staff made of aspen wood with a chrysocolla gemstone inset at the top. Blake and Mel stand against the wall. At the far end of the hall, the double-doors made of mahogany stand open. Acacius, a mysterious figure in black robes and completely obscured by a black cloak. Acacius' face is not visible, shrouded by the cloak, only two glowing red eyes are visible beneath the hood of the cloak. Acacius holds a staff made of ebony with a ruby inset at the top. A beam of red light shoots from the ruby and hits Laverno in the chest.
