The ibis, Threskiornis aethiopicus, was a wading bird that searched for food in the mud. And the Egyptian mongoose, Herpestes ichneumon, was a skilled hunter that ate snakes, scorpions and other small animals. The mice were fascinated to learn about the different animals that lived along the Nile. They realized that nature was full of incredible creatures, and they were grateful for the opportunity to experience them up close.
