  • Prompt: REFERENCE IMAGES — use them in this exact order: 1. CR-M1 – Morksik — preserve his exact established appearance, adult size, proportions, clothing and equipment. 2. Accepted Chapter 37 – Part 3 image — use this for the established appearance of Vale/Orren, older Avelin and the visual style of the underground location. 3. CR-M17 – Eldren — preserve his exact established appearance, clothing and map. 4. CR-M16 – Grimmeldorn — preserve his exact established moss-covered appearance and red eyes. Create a cinematic 4:3 fantasy storybook illustration for Chapter 38 – Part 1: The Staircase Beneath the First Door. The group has descended far beneath Mistmoor. Show a vast mysterious grey-silver emptiness where an ancient stone staircase seems to hang unsupported in space, disappearing upward into fog. At the lower end of the staircase the impossible landscape has begun transforming into an older version of Mistmoor. Narrow crooked streets and low old houses emerge from silver mist, but the familiar Ancient Well does not exist yet. At the centre of this forgotten village square is a huge circular stone platform marked by seven subtle silver symbols. Several shadowy villagers are placing ordinary belongings onto the platform: a small wooden cradle, an old clock, several books and simple carved wooden animals. Keep these villagers distant and indistinct rather than detailed additional protagonists. Morksik stands prominently in the foreground, holding his silver eye-shaped object. Its mechanical iris is slightly open and glowing mysteriously. Do not show any readable word inside it. Vale/Orren stands beside him, visibly disturbed by what he is remembering. Older Avelin watches the strange scene from the staircase. Eldren holds his established map and studies the impossible village below. Grimmeldorn crouches slightly, watching the distant silver fog suspiciously. In the far background beyond the disappearing village, show an enormous indistinct shape inside the fog, extending from the ground high into the grey distance. It must remain mysterious and only partly visible — an impossible towering silhouette, not clearly a creature. Near the edge of the staircase stands a mysterious elderly woman in a weathered grey coat with seven small silver buttons. She watches Morksik from a short distance. She should appear like someone who belongs to this forgotten place, but she is a new secondary character and must not resemble Avelin. The strongest visual focus is the contrast between the suspended staircase, the ancient Mistmoor preparing to travel on the circular platform, and the enormous barely visible shape waiting in the distant fog. Keep Morksik at his established corrected adult size, clearly shorter than the humans but not tiny. Realistic painterly fantasy storybook style, natural proportions, atmospheric silver-grey palette, soft volumetric light, drifting mist, cinematic depth, mysterious magical atmosphere. No modern objects. No combat. No duplicated main characters. No text, captions, letters or readable writing anywhere in the image. Small white unicorn emblem with “AI by Unicorngraphics” in the lower-right corner.

Varaan, a dragon-like creature with slate-gray skin, glowing turquoise veins, moss-draped horns, and sharp reptilian eyes, stands behind her.
