I waited a long time to find my peace
My emptiness filled with the soulless seas
Solitude consuming all I could be
For what I search always lies out of reach
Then I gave the broken parts left of me
And shattered mirrors in eternity
Does there lie beauty in the brokenness?
Is there love in the traitor’s kiss?
Now give me a break in the water-wall
Throw all the stars down from the dying halls
Then give me a world plunged into dark
And drown my soul beside the fallen stars
I waited a long time to find my peace
A shadow of everything I could be
The answers I seek never what they seem
And left me stranded between broken dreams
I am the land beside the endless seas
The waters run, and rage, right next to me
I long to hold back the torrents of tears
With the stone wall I’ve been building for years
Buried my soul deep under selflessness
I could not breath in the empty abyss
For love, some would sell the peace of their souls
And sabotage all that makes them whole
I’ve waited a long time to find my peace
The missing part that was taken from me
I gave my love for never-healing scars
And they darkened the light of the cruel stars
I feel like Holland, way down by the seas
The emotions raging all over me
So burst the stone wall and send in the floods
Can my tears fill the emptiness of love?
Now give me a break in hallowed hall
Raise the tides to crash upon my wall
Send me a flood to wash away my pains
In answers lost for the rest of my days
I waited a long time to find my peace

And flood my Holland with the falling stars
And heaven will rain them into the waves
To sell their light for empty, loveless ways
