  • Prompt: Use the uploaded original pen-and-ink drawing as a strict and unchangeable structural blueprint. Preserve its exact portrait orientation, composition, cropping, viewpoint, proportions, recognizable faces and figures, silhouettes, curved and angular forms, overlaps, internal details, spatial relationships and intentional empty areas. Do not redesign, simplify, add, remove, mirror or rearrange anything. Transform the complete drawing into an extraordinarily detailed, physically believable layered paper sculpture made from several hundred individually precision-cut sheets of heavyweight artist paper, stacked one behind another at small but clearly visible intervals. The original pen-line system must determine the real three-dimensional construction. Line density directly controls sculptural depth: Sparse, pale lines become shallow, open and widely spaced paper layers. Medium-density hatching becomes progressively deeper stepped planes. Dense hatching and cross-hatching become deep recessed cavities assembled from many closely packed, narrow paper ribs. Darker regions must contain more layers and greater depth rather than simply being painted black. Translate the strongest contours into continuous cut-paper edges traveling through successive layers. Convert long flowing lines into curved, overlapping paper contours. Convert fine parallel hatching into numerous extremely thin paper fins aligned with the exact direction of the original pen strokes. Convert cross-hatching into delicate interlocking layers at different depths. Preserve intricate facial features, hands and small textures through miniature precision-cut paper elements. Fine grey and sepia pen traces may remain visible on the outermost paper surfaces to preserve the original drawing’s handmade character, but the image must not be merely printed onto flat paper. Every important line must also influence a cut edge, paper ridge, layer interval, surface height or recessed depth. Use a restrained, harmonious material palette dominated by natural white, warm ivory, pale parchment and soft stone-grey paper. Introduce selected inner layers in deep petrol blue, muted dark teal, oxidized copper and warm bronze-brown. These colors should appear mainly along exposed cut edges and inside deeper cavities, never as large flat painted patches. Keep the outer surfaces predominantly ivory and paper-white. Build substantial physical depth, approximately 8–12 centimetres. Foreground forms project forward through many layers, secondary forms occupy middle depths, and recessed areas visibly descend through dozens of stacked sheets. Preserve the original overlaps and spatial order. Show authentic paper qualities: visible sheet thickness, crisp cut edges, fine natural fibres, subtle handmade irregularities, slightly softened corners and delicate shadows between adjoining layers. The individual sheets must remain visible, especially along curved edges and inside deep openings. Present the finished vertical artwork as a unique contemporary paper sculpture mounted on a neutral warm-grey museum wall. Photograph it nearly frontally from a very slight lower-left oblique angle, revealing the stacked layers without changing the original composition. Soft raking gallery light from the upper left creates delicate self-shadows and clearly reveals the varying depths. Extremely detailed, tactile, elegant, physically possible and sharply focused. The source drawing must remain immediately recognizable.
