  • Prompt: “A dark, mysterious and darkly humorous pen-and-ink illustration in the distinctive style of Tim Burton: hand-drawn ink linework, delicate cross-hatching, elongated and slightly crooked proportions, wobbly stop-motion charm, a macabre but affectionate atmosphere, perfect for Halloween. A vast, crumbling underground stairwell descends in a spiral into the dark, seen from a high angle looking down. The walls are cracked stone covered in cobwebs, dripping candles, iron cages and spindly carved pumpkins with grinning, glowing faces. Every few steps a jack-o’-lantern flickers in orange light, and the stairs are littered with torn banners, bones and a few glittering treasure chests. In the middle of the stairs stands a weary, scruffy adult adventurer with messy hair, big shadowed eyes and a crooked, tired smirk, wearing a patched, oversized coat and heavy boots, gripping a bent fire axe. Next to the adventurer sits a small, imperious black cat with enormous round eyes and a cracked, tiny tin crown, looking unimpressed and smug at the same time. Below them, a crowd of grotesque, spindly dungeon monsters creeps up the steps: skeletons with mismatched limbs, a hunched ghoul in a tattered waistcoat, a pumpkin-headed brute with a rusty cleaver, a giant spider with a lantern on its back, and a line of tiny ghosts carrying candles. They are menacing but also slightly comical. Above the scene, a swarm of small floating camera drones in the shape of eyeballs and lanterns hovers in the air, all pointed at the adventurer, with abstract glowing glyphs and tiny stars drifting around them like a game show scoreboard. A curtain of bats and a thin mist curl around the stairs. Color palette: charcoal, ash grey, cream and sepia for the ink drawing, with the glowing orange of the pumpkins and candles and a touch of toxic green and dusty violet in the shadows as the only accents. High contrast, soft vignette, delicate pen-and-ink detail. No text, no letters, no logos, no numbers.”
