Embroidered Pastoral Landscape

• Model: Nano Banana 2 (Pro)

• Size: 1376 X 768 (1.06 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: A detailed, wide-angle photograph of a handcrafted, three-dimensional mixed-media textile art piece depicting a rustic mountain landscape. The entire scene is constructed from various textures of fabric, yarn, and threads. The sky is made of a textured blue linen fabric with puffy, needle-felted white wool clouds. A prominent yellow embroidered sun, with radiating thread rays and a central button, is in the upper right. Below, snow-capped mountains are rendered with layered wool and textured fabrics. Rolling green hills in the mid-ground are made of patterned cotton fabrics (gingham, florals) and embroidered textures. On the left, a charming, small stone and timber cottage with a thatched roof (made of bundled yarn and thread) is built from patterned fabrics and detailed with small button windows. A winding path made of plaited threads and small beads leads from the cottage through the hills. A small herd of distinctively curly, tufted wool sheep is scattered across the pastures. On the right, a shepherd figure with a detailed cloak and hat, holding a wooden staff, walks along a rustic fence made of embroidered stitches and small wood buttons. The foreground is a dense meadow of detailed embroidered wildflowers, plants, and foliage with small button details on a woven fabric base. The entire piece has a warm, tactile, dimensional quality with a clear fabric edge border, photographed in natural, clear daylight on a burlap surface. The style is that of a complex, dimensional wool applique and embroidery textile painting

• Size: 2224 X 1664 (3.70 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: The abstract artwork "Patchwork Stitchwork," Psychedelic Embroidered Graphic created by the collaborative efforts of Meghan Duncanson, Takashi Murakami, Jennifer Lommers, and Didier Lourenço, is a striking embodiment of vibrant embroidery. This piece intricately showcases a forest landscape, characterized by a diverse array of evergreen trees, complemented by a flowing stream and an assortment of trees rendered in various colors. The surrounding abstract flowers contribute to the lively essence of the scene, enveloped within a kaleidoscopic arrangement of swirling patterns, stylized feathers, and elaborate flourishes. The sky is filled with abstract skies, stars, and swirling clouds in the early night. A few animals. The richness of the tapestry is striking, with an extensive palette that includes deep blues, bold reds, fiery oranges, lush greens, bright yellows, and soft pinks—all meticulously chosen to enhance the composition's vivacity. The embroidery technique employed here serves to create a remarkable three-dimensional effect, where raised threads delineate distinct outlines and filled areas come alive, drawing the viewer in. The background further enriches the visual experience, presenting a dense tapestry of organic shapes and curvilinear lines that echo the forest's vibrant color scheme and textured depth. Ultimately, this piece resonates with the essence of folk art or tribal design, celebrating a meticulous attention to detail in every thread and color choice. The culmination of these elements not only invites the viewer to explore the intricacies of the artwork but also evokes a profound appreciation for the interplay of nature and artistic expression.

Stitched Eclipse: The Whale Above La Mancha

• Model: ChatGPT 2 (Pro)

• Size: 2592 X 1456 (3.77 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: A breathtaking, large-scale machine-embroidered textile artwork depicting a colossal, majestic whale soaring through the sky, its massive body perfectly silhouetted against the sun, creating a dramatic partial solar eclipse. The scene is executed with professional computerized embroidery techniques: dense satin stitches, French knots, chain stitches, and crisp zigzag contours, all sewn onto a high-quality dark indigo linen-cotton blend fabric. The enormous whale dominates the upper half of the composition, its curved body rendered in deep charcoal, slate blue, and shimmering silver threads, with intricate satin stitching defining its massive flippers and sweeping tail. The sun blazes brilliantly behind the whale's silhouette, with only a glowing ring of pale gold, bright coral, and luminous amber threads escaping around its edges, creating a breathtaking halo of light. Radiating rays in metallic gold and soft turquoise burst outward from the eclipse, stitching across the sky in dynamic, sweeping lines. Below, the vast Spanish landscape of La Mancha is simplified and serene: rolling hills in warm terracotta and soft cream, with the iconic white windmills reduced to just three elegant, faceted forms in crisp white and pale gold thread, outlined in bold jet-black satin stitching. The sky transitions from deep charcoal and vivid slate blue at the top to soft lavender and warm amber near the horizon, using lustrous rayon thread for a subtle sheen. A small, diverse group of people and curious alien figures stands together on a gentle hill in the foreground, their heads tilted upward, gazing at the whale-eclipse with awe and wonder. Their silhouettes are embroidered in deep charcoal and rich plum threads, with delicate seed stitches for texture. Among them, a slender ethereal blonde woman in black culottes and a red-heart T-shirt is subtly highlighted with touches of vivid coral and turquoise thread. One alien figure raises a long, elegant arm toward the sky, pointing at the magnificent whale. A few cameras are raised, their metallic silver threads catching the eerie light. The atmosphere is tense, mysterious, and electrifying—a moment of shared cosmic wonder. The stitching is precise yet expressive, with dynamic chain stitches trailing like comet tails behind the whale. The palette is vivid and dramatic: deep charcoal, slate blue, brilliant pale gold, luminous amber, bright coral, vivid turquoise, soft lavender, warm terracotta, cream, jet black, and metallic silver. No sepia, no faded browns, no dull earth tones—only clean, saturated, high-contrast colors. The composition is spacious, uncluttered, and powerfully focused on the whale and the awestruck crowd below. 16:9 format. No text.

Sunrise Tapestry Landscape

• Model: Z-Image Turbo

• Size: 1600 X 912 (1.46 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: Sunrise tapestry. 16:9 full width valuable contemporary tapestry showing a pastoral scene at sunrise. The colors are muted – olive, ochre, tan, ivory, dusty pink, warm yellow, burnt orange, and blue-gray – and the motif is a panoramic view of a hilly landscape with the sun rising. The hills are dotted with trees and meadows. Close to the viewer stands a small group of sheep, grazing peacefully in the light of the sunrise. The tapestry is an artisanal, densely hand-woven work, shown very close up and extending beyond the edges of the image. The weft is tightly packed and includes threads of silk and gold for added luster and color. The trailblazing weaver showcases exceptional skill and whimsy by using strongly tufted, hand-spun wool to recreate the coat of the sheep and the fluffy appearance of the trees dotting the landscape. The wool is dyed with natural plant dyes. The sliver of rising sun is quilted with gold thread over the tapestry, and the orange and yellow sky surrounding it is additionally embroidered with lustrous silk, drawing the viewer’s attention to the sun before taking in the many extraordinary details of the tapestry. Outstanding, museum-quality contemporary tapestry, incredible level of detail and beauty. Tapestry influenced by contemporary textile artists Ruth Norbury, Jake Hensler, Marcia Eygabroat, Victoria Potrovitza.
