  • Prompt: A cheerful astronaut, with a bouquet of impossibly vibrant, alien flowers, has just landed their small, retro rocket ship in the middle of Grant Wood's 'American Gothic'. The farmer and his daughter stand bewildered, holding their pitchfork and book, as the astronaut offers them the strange, beautiful blooms. The scene maintains the stark, realistic style and composition of the original painting, with the astronaut and flowers rendered in a slightly more whimsical, fantastical manner. as the scene Rules 1. The scene is a humorous cartoon scene, often using some slapstick humour 2. If there are any animals, they are anthropomorphic but not humanised 3. Bright and cheerful 4. Using a detailed whimsical illustration artwork featuring simplified, caricatured forms with exaggerated cartoon anatomy and rough, messy textures. 5. The colour palette infuses an atmospheric undertone with vibrant contrast. 6. Dramatic chiaroscuro lighting uses intense spotlights to carve the centrally isolated subject out of the shadows, making every expressive distortion pop. A textured, story-driven background to best complement the scene, to capture the complex feel of an illustrated storybook
