More about Diligence Plays

How you hold patience in your craft, I admire greatly. Results do not come overnight they are built from hard work over time.

While knowing this practice and theory are two vastly different things. I hold too much contempt for myself, the part of my pain that is least easy let go.

I feel as if because I have put in dues things should slide my way. Yet I know this isn't how the world works. Momentum builds on itself, and my lack of focus is at it's core a diffusion of potency. I never expect things to come together due to effort alone. The right time must be met by the right place, and in this moment the apple must be ripe for the picking.

Setbacks are real I have known a struggle for so long it feels oddly comfortable. Many things come to me, my elation builds slow. Yet my timing is still premature. I haven't the momentum that is needed for a trajectory of escape. Disappointment grasps at me, sulking will do nothing to improve my place.

I think of long nights of practice, and focus I never knew. My practice has yielded results although my craft dogged by the reality of necessity. The chase for daily bread.

Some artists only may know few patrons in their life, their craft will not hit critical mass. They will never see their popularity come to pass. The key is to settle down, and take a view of my life from the perspective of a long haul. Tuning to the correct key a practice that must always be re-achieved.

My vow out weighs my daily chase anyhow. My faith in myself, and my path led me to wonderful a connection. I can only honor it through knowing diligence, patience, and demonstration.

Tomorrow a another day. I will hone. I have made a great step yesterday amid setbacks, a pattern I know well, life's refrain.

Forever, Ever, and Evermore,
Aaron Baker

Post Script: I recalibrate, dig deep, and know something is different. What is delicate grows stronger, I honor what is given in trust. Friction will come, and go. To keep what we have honoring love is an act of surrendering to fate, while keeping sight of the fact at any moment it could all be taken away.
