I got the message "You have sent as many invitations as you can today. Try tomorrow." but I didn't use up 50 invitations, only 24. Thanks for looking into it.
Resolved: Same as #78 — 25 a day on a rolling window, now named in the message.
Same cause as #78, answered there in full: the daily limit is 25 invitations in a rolling 24 hours, and it is a different thing from the 50 people a group holds. The old message named neither number, so the two ran together.
The message now says which limit it is and roughly when the next invitation frees up, and "today"/"tomorrow" is gone, because the window moves with you rather than resetting at midnight.
