Invited people cannot see a private unlisted group despite accepting invitations #76

My group shows as "Only you are in this group. It is private and unlisted, and sharing its link does not let anyone in — people join by accepting an invitation from you." But people I invited tell me that they can't see my group. Why is my group locked?
Resolved: Access was never the problem — invitations were only visible inside the chat. They now show in the site header and at the top of the rail.
Your group was never locked, and the people you invited were never shut out. We checked every person on the site who has accepted an invitation: all of them can see their group.
What was wrong is that an invitation only existed in one place — the left panel inside the chat. If somebody did not go there, nothing told them anything had happened. Thirty-four invitations were sitting unanswered when we looked, thirty-two of them yours, and two thirds of the notifications had never been opened. So from your side a group you had filled with people stayed empty and said only you were in it, and from theirs nothing had happened at all. Both ends look exactly like a feature that does not work.
From today the Chat link in the top bar carries a number whenever invitations are waiting for you, on every page of the site, and inside the chat the invitations sit above the rooms rather than below them, with Join and Decline on each.
Nothing of yours needs sending again: your 16 invitations in Climate Concerns and 16 in Your Favorite Art Style are still valid and still waiting. The people holding them will see them now.
