I'd love a small way to recommend a dream I discovered while wandering through someone else's gallery — not my own work, not necessarily Trending, and not another competition. Just: "Hey, I found this beautiful little thing. Come look."

Maybe each dreamer could recommend only one occasionally, with a short note about what caught their eye, and DDG could gather these into a rotating Hidden Gems corner. There are so many wonderful dreams quietly sitting beyond the first pages. Sometimes all they need is one person carrying a little lantern and saying, "Over here!"

Resolved: Live: Hidden Gems, one pick each, shuffled, no counts, with an opt-out in Edit Profile.

I think that's brilliant! Shining a spotlight on an unseen dream would be gratifying. Having a way for hidden gems to be seen and appreciated by more dreamers is truly the community spirit.

The same idea as #225, which has the full proposal. The votes from here count there now.

#237 Add consent prompt when someone adds a dream to Look What I've Found

This is basically a consent issue. If someone wants to add a dream to the "Look What I've Found" feature list, a small request/nudge/notification could go to the dream creator, and they could decide whether they want to be included or not. Everyone's happy.

Part of #225: if Hidden Gems is built, artists would be able to opt out. Votes moved there.

A simple implementation comes to mind: each user can have one hidden gem he is "promoting", and these random gems take turns on the second place on Trending page - "Fresh from our community".
If this ever gets implemented, a history of these gems for each user would be super cool

Found a dream you love in someone else's gallery? Tap "Hidden Gem" on its page to recommend it. Everyone has one pick at a time.
The page shows everyone's picks in a new order on every visit, with who found each one. There are no counts or points, so it can't turn into a race.
Artists who'd rather not be included can turn it off in Edit Profile, which also takes down picks already made of their dreams (from #237, merged here with #241).
On a phone, it's in the menu under your profile picture.
