Perhaps it is time to update the rules. I am referring to a methodical process involving stocktaking and overview, evaluation, analysis, conceptualization & planning, implementation/updating, and finally monitoring/review.

The end result should be clearer, more precise rules that are easy to understand, perhaps also with easy-to-understand, concrete examples of what is allowed and what is not.

  • #151 Clarify vague definitions in Terms & Conditions (partial nudity, firearms)

Yvain de Leonais Yvain de Leonais · filed · merged

Terms & Conditions, Point 2: Is "partial nudity" now precisely defined?

Point 3, "Violence and weapons" / "firearms": Does this mean any depiction of historical, contemporary, or futuristic firearms? For instance, a cowboy at a saloon bar with a Colt in his holster? A police officer securing an airport area with a submachine gun? Or Captain Kirk with a phaser or a Stormtrooper holding a blaster? The text currently just lists "Firearms" in general terms.

Same topic as #150: clearer rules with concrete examples. Your questions about partial nudity and firearms go with it.

  • #152 Add a linked blog post explaining the rules in depth

Yvain de Leonais Yvain de Leonais · filed · merged

An explanatory blog post could simply be written and linked to within the rules, so that the rules themselves don't become overly bloated. The blog post would serve as a sort of "commentary" on the rules, facilitating a better and clearer understanding.

Same topic as #150: clearer rules. A linked post explaining them is kept there as one way to do it.
