(Full Length image).
An oil painting depicts a fair-skinned young boy with short brown hair, wearing a brown cowboy hat, a white long-sleeved shirt with a brown vest, blue jeans, brown cowboy boots, and a red scarf around his neck, riding on the back of a large tortoise with a brightly colored shell patterned in red, orange, yellow, and blue. The tortoise has wrinkled, textured skin, and patterned scales on its legs and head. The boy is holding two ropes connected to the tortoise's head, smiling as he looks forward. They are moving through a whimsical, fantastical landscape at night under a deep blue sky filled with stars, a full moon, a crescent moon, and several small birds flying in the background. In the lower background, there are whimsical, cartoonish buildings resembling a medieval town, and the foreground features a grassy field populated with colorful mushrooms in shades of red, pink, and yellow, and other fanciful plants.
