Fluttering feathers, trapped so tight,
In a jar of glass, a pitiful sight.
Their wings beat fast, their beaks agape,
Desperate for freedom, longing to escape.
Once they soared high in the open sky,
Now confined in a container, they can't fly.
Their eyes filled with longing, their spirits crushed,
In a gilded prison, their dreams are hushed.
Their songs are muted, their colors dimmed,
Confined in a space, their world is trimmed.
They yearn for the breeze, the warmth of the sun,
Their once vibrant lives, now come undone.
Oh, little birds, so wild and free,
In that jar, you were never meant to be.
May you find a way to spread your wings,
And soar once again, with joy that sings.
For the sky is your canvas, the air your stage,
Unleash your splendor, break free from the cage.
Fly high, fly far, with grace and might,
Birds in a jar, take flight, take flight!
