First time into the cage and water with great whites around... I can give you the internal monologue with decent accuracy:

OMG OMG OMG OMG
I'm really doing this
OMG OMG
wait wait wait go back up
OMG
They're still lowering me
OMG OMG
What am I doing??
OMG OMG
They're going to attack the cage and eat me
OMG
I'm going to hear the cage... and my bones... snap
I wonder if I'd taste like ginger...
OMG
wait... does that mean they'd get a ginger snap??
OMG OMG
I'm in the water...
with them
oh...
whoa, they're huge
OMG
they're beautiful
whoa
I did it!!
I can't believe I'm here

And thus I met my dreams and my nightmares... and I never freaked out even a little. :P
(yes this is accurate)
