I got this idea after reading a mystery about a girl in England who was forced to go to a boarding school and impersonate her dententical twin sister after she supposedly died. But her sister had left clues all over the place for her, helping her to discover what had happened to her twin and what was going on and what the evil people running the school were doing.
The book was called "The Lost Twin" and was in the series Scarlet & Ivy.
