The explosion starts with a bright flash of white light, which turns into a glowing fireball at the center of the explosion. The fireball is surrounded by a cloud of dust, smoke and debris, which is pushed upward by the shock wave created by the explosion. Producing a mushroom cloud, which is created when the fireball from the explosion pushes air upwards, creating a column of hot, ionized air.
