After two "Pterodactyl Ride 3"-based video creations with SeeDance 1.5, which both resulted in a pterodactyl with horse legs and tail, I tried the same with MiniMax H3.
The result looked way better, and it featured a convincing flying dinosaur.
I made a sequel. And a prequel. And then combined the three to a kind of endless-loop video. The result has some strange moments near the cuts between the three parts, but I like the overall outcome. Enjoy your flight!
What I learned:
1. Sound: I prompted sounds but didn't say anything about music or not. The sound prompt seemed to work, but now I got two parts with additional music and one without.
2. Reference images: I tried to use the "reference images" feature described in the recent DDG release notes (version 5.17) with two images. What's not clear, neither from the description nor from the UI: The model seems always to use the first image as start image and the second image as end image, no matter how they are actually referenced.
3. Reference video: I tried to use the initial 15s video as reference for the 15s sequel. The model refused that with an error message falsely claiming that I exceeded the maximum video length of 15s. I suspect that the length of the reference video is internally added to the configured length of the video to be created. If so, this contradicts the description.
