Colorful Paper Quilling Domes

More about Colorful Paper Quilling Domes

Two whimsical objects, reminiscent of spinning tops or domes, are constructed from layers of brightly colored paper strips. The object on the left has an outer layer of yellow paper strips, which open out into a flared, bowl-like shape. Inside, nestled within this yellow shell, are concentric layers of green, blue, and yellow paper, creating a textured, domed structure. A small, spiraled point caps the top. The object on the right is similarly constructed, but features a wider range of colors in its layers, including yellow, green, blue, pink, and purple. Its outer layer is a vibrant purple, and its top also culminates in a small, spiraled point. On the surface nearby, two very small, similarly styled objects lie. The lighting is bright and even, highlighting the intricate quilling and layering of the paper.
