For millions of years, evolution shaped living creatures to survive in their environment. Then humans came along and decided that survival was no longer enough. Nature had to be useful - or, better said, profitable. In this sense, the vacuum-cleaning elephant would represent an enormous leap forward in evolution - as well as a tremendous commercial success: equipped with an on/off switch, a retractable power cable, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a two-year limited warranty, and a premium subscription for trunk maintenance. As for the elephant's opinion on the matter, nobody should ask.
