Nothing is known about this woman, known as La Dame en Bleu, although many have claimed to see her, usually when she is wandering the wild places in the valleys of France's Vosges mountain range. The kicker ? According to the written record, people have been claiming to see her for 300 years, although sightings probably pre-date that by several centuries more. The Scandinavians had a similar Blue Lady legend that pre-dated Christianity, so the French legend might have arrived in France with the Norman Conquest.
