More about Bamboo & Gold Tapestry

A highly detailed, intricate, and somewhat chaotic image showcasing a collection of objects and figures, centered around a person in dark, flowing attire. The scene is dominated by numerous bamboo poles arranged vertically and diagonally, forming a dense background and structure.

In the center, a person, possibly a female, is seated or posed amidst the bamboo and various fabrics. They are wearing dark, draped clothing, possibly with elements of navy blue and dark grey, and a head covering that matches the dark fabric. Parts of their body are exposed, revealing skin, and they are adorned with golden, ornate, twisted metalwork or jewelry that wraps around their limbs and upper torso. Their expression is contemplative or serene, with a slight gaze directed to the left. Long strands of what appears to be blonde or light-colored hair, or perhaps fabric, are intertwined with the golden elements.

To the left of the central figure, there's a jumble of items including white, grey, and red fabrics, some appearing to be crumpled or draped. A golden, ornate goblet or vessel is visible, along with other golden objects that resemble brass instruments or decorative elements.

One of the things people seem always to remember from Uccello is the forest of spears carried by the pike-men. So, this is that forest taken from Uccello and from a picture of a bamboo fence. The soldiers are not of importance so they are left out with only some cloth scraps and a young woman although it is not clear if she is one of the fighters or is part of the booty acquired in an earlier battle.
