“Dying in your sins [or your iniquities]” is an Old Testament expression that means you suffer death because you are guilty of rebelling against God (Num 16:26; Ezek 3:18; 18:18, 24, 16).
To die in sin is to reject that Christ is God, our Savior, and to reject Christ's offer of forgiveness of our sin(s).
The reason God sent his son to Earth is because he wanted to save us all and give us eternal life with Him in heaven, and he sent Jesus as the final sacrifice so that our souls could live on. Jesus was ridiculed, beaten and crucified by the Romans. He died as the sacrifice for the sins of those who believe he is the son of God. Sins must be paid for by death- it's like a bounty or a criminal fine. We only have to believe in it him and accept it as we would a gift.
God sent Jesus, who is his first and only son, to Earth by causing a virgin to become pregnant. She gave birth to Jesus and he grew up. He was without sin, completely perfect in every way. He was God's son incarnate as a human being.
