The term "tree" in the New Testament, particularly in Acts and Galatians, often refers to the cross or the wooden structure used for crucifixion-
Acts 5:30: "The God of our fathers has raised up Jesus, whom you yourselves killed by hanging him on a tree"-
The New Covenant and Jesus' Role:
God, in his mercy, established a new covenant through Jesus Christ, offering a way back to himself. Jesus, as the mediator of this new covenant, became both the perfect sacrifice and the perfect priest, fulfilling the requirements of the old covenant and paying the penalty for humanity's sins.
Jesus' Death and Resurrection:
Jesus' death on the cross is the basis of the new covenant, providing forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God for those who believe in him. His resurrection signifies victory over death and the promise of eternal life for believers-
Entering the New Covenant:
Entering the New Covenant is made possible only by faith in Christ, who shed His blood to take away the sins of the world-
Blue is used in the Bible to describe the Tabernacle’s construction and the high priest’s garments, reflecting holiness and divine glory (Exodus 26:1, Exodus 28:31).
The Israelites were instructed to put blue cords on their garment tassels as a reminder of God’s commandments (Numbers 15:38-39).
