I wasn't after a forbidden love when I started this, but I liked the pathos of this bleak result. And though I liked the original AIVision result, I wanted more old fashioned pathos, so I evolved with Photomage.
'Star crossed' originally came from the idea that stars control the lives and actions of people, so to be star crossed in love meant that the stars are working against the relationship. Being thwarted by a malign influence must bleed all the bright color out of everything for two lovers. And, if it is the stars, you can bet they use human agency to create the circumstances.
