That all happened just before causality took a mental detour as a turn in a turnstyle move. Though what before means at that scale becomes tricky, there is a persistent pesky repellant pest sip strip maul proof chain mail promises from decorated subatomic princesses with the sweetness that reaches you from a molecular level. There was something insane in the membrane, but there were also protein repair agents that were able to monitor for and de-time defects. Light from the void, light from the sky, it all took a shot at your eye to tell it where it had been and what you need to do about it. But mostly you didn't have to do anything about it unless you wanted to be awesome.
