Perfection as something that distances us from the physical world: the child floats because he no longer fully belongs to the ordinary world; he is perfect, he can detach himself from gravity, his body is so efficient that he ceases to touch the ground. However, the child longs to be human, and so he makes an effort to regain friction, the clumsiness of being able to fall (perhaps this could be an act of rebellion).
