A bleakness that haunts us day and night.
The world around us may seem bright,
But we're lost in the darkness, without light,
A feeling of loss that we can't shake,
A sense of hopelessness that makes us ache.
We search for solace, for a ray of hope,
But the desolation seems too much to cope,
We long for love, for a caring touch,
But the desolation feels too much.
Yet in the midst of all the despair,
We find the strength to keep on, to bear,
For though the desolation may never fade,
We'll hold on tight, and not be swayed.
And though the road ahead may be steep,
We'll climb the hill, and the summit reach,
For the desolation we feel may never heal,
But our spirits will soar, and our hearts will feel.
