Behold, a vision grand and bright,
Of glory's city, bathed in light.
A New Jerusalem, divinely wrought,
Descends from heaven, a sight unsought.
No more tears, no more pain,
No more sorrow, no more stain.
God Himself, in radiant grace,
Makes His dwelling, in this holy place.
A bride adorned, in splendor dressed,
The Lamb's betrothed, eternally blessed.
A holy city, pure and bright,
A beacon of hope, a beacon of light.
Its walls of jasper, gates of pearl,
Reflecting God's glory, in a radiant swirl.
Foundations adorned with precious stones,
A sight that leaves all in awe-struck tones.
No need for sun or moon's embrace,
For God's glory shines in every space.
No darkness, no night, forever bright,
In this city of God's eternal light.
No sin or death, no curse or blight,
Only righteousness, pure and bright.
The Lamb of God, the eternal King,
Reigns in splendor, as angels sing.
And God Himself, with love and care,
Wipes away every tear, every despair.
His presence felt, by all who dwell,
In this city, where joy shall ever swell.
No pain, no grief, no fear or loss,
Only perfect peace, upon the cross.
A New Jerusalem, a promise fulfilled,
Where God's glory reigns, forever willed.
So let us hope, and let us pray,
For that glorious, eternal day.
When all is made new, and all is bright,
In Revelations Chapter 21's resplendent light.
