ArtistA dark night at midnight. The main room of an ancient Greek-style temple with a large marble altar. The full moon shines through a round opening in the ceiling directly onto the altar. In the center of the altar, right where the moonlight is strongest sits an ornate marble basin with the phases of the moon inset in silver around the outside. An athropomorphic German spaniel and three cats stand in front of the altar, they are seen from behind. The anthropomorphic german spaniel has uniform glossy reddish-brown fur that shimmers in the light. The anthropomorphic German spaniel wears an elegant dark green dress and carries a brown leather bag on its right side with the strap of the bag draped over the spaniel's left shoulder. The first anthropomorphic cat is fully white, the second anthropomorphic cat is orange and roundish and the third cat is an elderly tabby. The three anthropomorphic cats wear red robes and cloaks and carry a rapier in a sheath attached to their belt. The anthropomorphic German spaniel pours ash from a small leather coin purse into the bowl by holding the purse upside down over the bowl. The leather coin purse is brown with a silver moon sickle stitched on it. The ash falls into the bowl, then rises into a cloud that is shaped roughly like a hound. The anthropomorphic German spaniel and the three cats gaze up at the cloud of ash in amazement.
Agatha Misty and the three Wiskerteers arrived on the day before the night of the full moon, just as they had planned. There, they are greeted by the head priest, who has been informed of their visit and its purpose. He is only too happy to let them use the temple that night but advises them, that only those who have completed the journey may be present at the ceremony.
They rest for a few hours, then make their way into the inner sanctum. There they find the bowl right under the opening in the roof where the full moon shines through at midnight. They wait until the bowl is bathed in the light of the moon, then Agatha Misty pours Lord Dogula's ashes into the bowl. But what's this? As soon as the first ashes touch the bowl, they begin to swirl, then rise up as if carried on a soft current. More and more of the ash rises and coalesces into a dense shape, a dense shape glittering in the moonlight, a shape that oddly resembles - no, could it be? Could it really be possible?
